Pinewood Derby 2023
We are excited to announce our upcoming Pinewood Derby event hosted by our Triangle Muslim Scouts Pack 99! Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity, competition, and family bonding.
The Pinewood Derby is a classic scouting tradition that has been enjoyed by generations of scouts and families. It’s a chance for kids to exercise their creativity and problem-solving skills by designing and building their own wooden race cars. With a little bit of imagination and teamwork, your child can turn a simple block of wood into a speedy race car that will zoom down the track!
The event will take place on Saturday, 25th February 2023 at ICM Banquet Hall, 101 A Quail Fields Ct, Morrisville NC 27560, and is open to all scouts and their families. Using the Pinewood Derby car kit that includes a block of wood, four plastic wheels, and four nails for axles, kids are encouraged to use their creativity to decorate and customize their cars as per the official Pinewood Derby rules.
We will have a tournament-style competition on that day with multiple heats and elimination rounds. Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers and prizes for the most creative and best-looking cars. But even if your child doesn’t win, they’ll have a blast cheering on their friends and competing in a friendly and supportive environment.
This event is a great opportunity for kids to learn new skills, make new friends, and create lasting memories with their families.
